Ctrl-Alt-Tilde, Ctrl-Alt-1, Ctrl-Alt-2 and Ctrl-Alt-3 seem to select
channel
highlights. Is this correct? Is this documented?

Thanks, EPC

Thanks, does Adobe have some sort of advanced ($$$) documentation that describes all the program features or did I just not look hard enough?

you havent looked hard enough. If you go to the exchange page on the adobe site…you can find an increadable document that has tons of quick reference tricks…and also a great pdf file that has all the shortcut keys. Two great files to have indeed!!
i forget exactly where these are located…but if you cant find them let me know.

Cool. I’m fairly new to Photoshop. Is that how it is supposed to work, Adobe leaves these undocumented features for the users to discover and share with others via their website?

Of course. Would you expect a product that costs a measly $500 to come with adequate documentation? Obviously Adobe can’t afford to produce a proper user’s manual.

Ctrl+Alt+tilde selects ths highlights from all three channels (RGB) Ctrl+Alt+1 selects from the Red channel only,
+2 selects from the Green channel onle and +3 from the Blue channel. (I think thats the right order, without looking it up)

RTM didn’t keep going.

4 will load the first Alpha channel in RGB mode (5 in CMYK).

If you have saved a selection (first one) and later need it reloaded, just click Ctrl+Alt+4. If you have saved two selections and want the second one loaded, then you would use Ctrl+Alt+5.

OK. 🙂
