illustrator Installation Fail

Hi everybody, I having problems with the Adobe Ilustrator 10 installation, hope that somebody out there can guide me..

When I try to install Illustrator, The error message show up and terminate the process.

The error message is :
Unhandled Exception
Error Number : 0x80070725
Desc: Incompatible version of the RPC stub
Setup will now terminate

I have take some initiative to re-install the OS but the problem persist.

Kindly advise…

Hi Ben,
This is the Photoshop forum, perhaps you’d have more luck getting an answer in the Illustrator foum instead?
In any case, I did a google search and found this patch < http://download.microsoft.com/download/msninvestor/Patch/1.0 /WIN98/EN-US/mcrepair.EXE> which might help.
