I have a Viewsonic P95f+ and love it. It comes with a calibration profile, FWIW. (where do they get these model numbers?)

It cost me $265US a couple years ago.

It has a button that shifts between 3 intensity levels, standard, "graphics" and movie viewing and I hope that appropriate use will extent the CRT life.

I would seriously suggest you consider a good 22" or even 24" TFT instead! You won’t regret it!

But if you are in Essex you can have my old Compaq 19" crt for

The Apple wide screens are also made by Samsung.

Hi Rob, you hear so many different stories!! I heard that Apple use the same source as Dell (possibly wishful thinking!!)

A couple of years ago I bought a Videosonic VP201s 1600 x 1200 monitor – (pivots to 1200 x 1600!) which according to the then prevailing philosophy was not going to give me the control that a CRT would. But I found that it seemed to do a pretty good job for me.

Can’t think how anyone manages with *less* than 1200 pixels deep though!
