Lisa – I think you have several things not in your favor reagrding your current setup.

1) WinME is not a realiable OS (no matter what anyone says) Doesn’t manage memory worth a damn. You really should foot the bill and get Win XP home edition – you’ll be glad you did.

2) 128MB RAM is bare minimum and more than likely, you are probably running into quirks that having that little of RAM can cause on an install. Install at least another 128MB stick (I run 1 GB and it was reasonable in price)- you’ll be glad you did.

3) You should run a complete defrag on your drive if the other 2 options aren’t possible and make sure you have enough space – make youre your swap file is large enough to handle opening files.

Also following Len’s advice will help as well.

You didn’t say what kind of processor you have (AMD or Intel?) Also, are your graphics drivers up to date?

I had a problem with reinstalling PS7 a few times. I found out it was because of spyware that installed themselves on to my system. You can remove them by using the scanner at http://www.spywareguide.com
