Photoshop CS opens fine when clicking on an image, but opening from the start menu takes about 60 seconds. Everything was fine under XP before upgrading. I’ve already tried uninstalling and reinstalling.

Computer is an Athlon 2400 with 1 GB RAM and a RAID disk, so should not be the problem.

Larry put a new P/S shortcut onto the start menu then.
Go to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS folder. There you’ll find your Photoshop file. Right click the file. Select Send To>Desktop.

Before you close the C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS folder click on the Photoshop file to open Photoshop — see how long it takes.

Close everything go to the new Photoshop shortcut you made on your desktop. Click on it to check how long it takes to open — should be the same.

Now if you want to get fancy drag the shortcut onto your Windows Start button.

Once you’ve done that you’ll see you’ve "pinned" P/S to the top of the Start Menu.

Click on it see how long it takes to open. If that doesn’t work repost here.
