Hi!

I’ve got some jpegs that are stillshots taken from a VHS video. They are not very good quality, and look very blury… Is there anything I can do to make them crisper?

Also, if I can’t make them crisp, I’m thinking about putting a filter on them and somehow stylizing them. There was a filter, and I can’t think what it is, that puts little horizontal lines across your pics. Does anybody know which one that is??

THANKS!

TV Scan lines. There’s tutorial-O-Rama on that. Trevor Morris has a nice tut at:

As for the JPG’s themselves, there’s usually very little you can do, depending of course, on the compression used.

Try the filter –> video -> de-interlace (play with the settings).
