Hi everybody —

I just lost 5 hours of work in photoshop because it crashed. — Where does photoshop put its backup files? I have no idea where to look. Please help.

Thanks, Sergio.

I’m not sure PhotoShop creates backup files. It creates temp files, but I don’t think there are readable (just binary files).

Sorry 🙁

If you didn’t make a backup of your work manually, it’s gone. And you do not work for five hours without making a backup! You don’t drive without a spare wheel do you?
If you did make a backup and simply do not know where it is, simply see where PS save as default. As easy as that.
Otherwise, it was not really a lost because it was 5 hours spent on education.
