Actually, if your current version is installed and still works, the serial number is displayed at the bottom right corner of the first Photoshop panel that shows up during launch.

If you already paid for the software and obtained it legally, I would call the Adobe 1-800 number and see if they can help.

If you’re at a dead end, then try any of the following serial numbers

(Do not register if you use these numbers!!!)

1045-1209-6738-4668-7696-2783

you can find these on Google by searching "photoshop" 7 s/n or "photoshop v7" s/n

This is interesting since I paid for my copy and have one of those serial numbers. I guess I should contact Adobe and find out what went wrong.

Also, when I attempted to run the registration, it just said, invalid registration number.

I had something similarly wierd happen once. I bought macromedia flash 5 from someone off eBay.. disks looked authentic, and serials all worked, but when i went to register online at their site, it told me the numbers weren’t right… oh well, it worked fine so I didn’t make an issue of it..

You can go to the Photoshop website and if you give them the identification number you received with your software they will be able to give you your serial number. They can verify everything over the internet.
