Hi,

is there a simple way to measure PART of an image – in pixels?

I need to use the "fit image" function, and what I’ve been doing is a little tedious. I select the part of the image I’m trying to fit into, then select "crop." Next I choose "image" and "size" to view the pixel size. Then when
I click on ‘fit image’ , I can use that deminsion.

is there an easier way?

also, does the ‘fit image’ function fit the largest measurement or the smallest measurement and then adjust the other?

gosh, I hope those questions make sense…

TIA!

Click on the + in the Info Palette and from the drop-down menu choose Pixels.
Use the rectangularr marquee tool to select an area.
Its height and width, in pixels, will appear in the section of the Info palette to the right of the one with the +

I believe this is what you are looking for.
