How come b/w inkjet prints in rgb mode are always a heavy brown tone? Using either history brush or layers I’m practicing converting photos to b/w (channel mixer) then adding back color. Whats the trick here in getting the prints to look like the screen?

My b/w images print fine in grayscale

What printer? What is the rest of your system? Is the monitor calibrated?

every paper prints differently and you almost have to calibrate for paper types too.

I have no problem when I convert to grayscale. tone is fine no matter what paper I use. Its just when the same image is in RGB mode I get this heavy chocolate BROWN tone that is the same with all papers. I use paper profiles too.
