My copy of Photoshop CS has suddenly started locking up on start up. It gets as far as saying "Reading text global resources . . . Done" but then goes no further.

I’ve noticed other posters with similar problems, and people have told them to check their resource files.

But how do I do that? I suppose there’s a temporary file somewhere that I should delete, but I don’t know where to look.

I’m running Windows XP Professional.

Thanks in advance for any answers.

I ran into same problem. I moved all files in the following folder to another folder and restart PS CS. That worked for me.

C:\Documents and Settings\<your user name>\Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop\8.0\Adobe Photoshop CS Settings
