Photoshop and re-editing text

Ok – I have imported a tiff – added some tetx to Photoshop but cannot seem to go back and re-edit the text. Am I mssing something.

If you saved it, the text is now part of the image.

Did you check the "layers" box in the Save Options, when you saved as a TIFF? My guess is no, so the text is no longer text, but part of the graphic. To remain editable, text layers have to remain in their own layers as text.
