Simple text creations on Photoshop 8

Here I was thinking I would be able to master the essentials of Photoshop 8 in a few weeks. Boy was I wrong! I wish I could find a free manual online somewhere that I could print up at home!

1) I can’t even successfully create a letter in the T menu and then put circle around it as easily as I could in Paint.
2) Then I want to draw a simple shape with straight lines. Importing images and then playing with them seems easier than actually using lines and letters….

Where could I get a free manual to print up at home?

Help!!

I am using the free demo version of Photoshop 8 thus far to test how user-friendly the program seems before I buy it. So far I am not finding it very user-friendly at all….

Ok Photoshop is mainly for editing images although you can draw too. If you want and use lines and circles etc you can in photoshop but you may be better with a vector drawing program like illustrator or coral draw or freehand or such like.

For help just type: photoshop tutorials into google

It’s a steep learning curve with some 500 commands but well worth taking the time.
