Did you ever get an answer to this? I just started getting these two error messages today. I’ve reinstalled twice as well, the second time after uninstalling and deleting the ~e5d141.tmp file and rebooting prior to the install. I’ve deleted the prefs and deleted the entire folder as described above. I really need this software and after having paid for CS, I really don’t feel I should have to go back to v7! Thanks for any suggestions as to my next step –

Andreas Hedin and whomever else can help,
I have encountered the same problem, I am running win xp and adobe
cs. When running photoshop it completes the loading screen and then I get Error:
CreateFile(C:\Docume~1\useraccount\locals~1\temp\~e5d141.tmp )
followed by "A required application library failed to load and the
product cannot continue. Please reinstall the application. Well, I have reinstalled twice so far, and deleted the prefs as mentioned above.
Any help would be great.

Are you running a firewall?

I couldn’t get PS CS to load – simiar message – I unloaded ZoneAlarm and no probs – I can even start ZoneAlarm after PS is loaded and it runs. I suspect it may be the security check – though other CS apps work fine.

It may be a Plug In too – I haven’t had time to do clean install, unload – load each one, etc
