I wrote that because that’s what everyone is going to think. I have a registered version of Photoshop 6.01
Adobe doesn’t sell replacement disks except for CS.
I feel ripped off. I just need the ImageReady part. I’ve had PS for over 10 years and this pisses me off along
with their refusal to upgrade Acrobat 3.0.
Any suggestions? Thanks

No pirate software here, silly! You might pick up a second hand LICENSED version on eBay though.

I guess my post was too long to expect anyone to read
it all the way through. Oh well. Are you like the girl in Fifth Element, the movie? : -)

Wellll I do have red hair 🙂

You said you wanted ImageReady… you can only get that by buying PhotoShop. What did I misunderstand?

I really do own the program and I said that about the pirate to try to get someone to realize that maybe I’m not really a pirate. Boy did she have red hair.

I guess what Space Girl is asking is what is the matter with your current version of ImageReady that came with your current version of Photoshop
6.01? CTRL+SHFT+M will get you there.

Peadge 🙂

Peadge,
I either didn’t install it on the computer that I ended up using or had to revert
to a drive image backup on which it wasn’t installed. I remember using it some
so it must have been installed at one time. I guess I’ll just wait until the disk turns
up. It’s not like I travel with it. But it does tick me off that Adobe doesn’t offer
replacement disks. I could buy one on a warez site or something but it scares
me. I don’t want to look like a crook. This is bad enough. : 0 )

Found it. Quite remarkable. Upside down on
a spindle that I hadn’t seen for over a year. I was
looking to see if it might be in the original box
when I saw the spindle. Not another program
or commercial disk on the spindle. : -)

Adobe still sucks about replacement disks and
not upgrading from Acrobat 3.

I’ve heard that you can find patches or cracks to turn the older demo versions into full working programs. Seems like this is illegal but not sure whether adobe worries about older versions. Don’t say I didn’t warn you! Also heard you may have to try several crack files or patches to find one that works for your version. I’d make sure I had antivirus software. Never tried these things but I’d say you’d have to watch out for viruses.

Photoshop is interested in money. How can they make money if you don’t spend it more often on their "latest" software?

Adobe might go broke if you don’t buy CS. Then, in six months, they will have a new version for you to acquire, also so that they can stay in business.
