I have Adobe 7.0, and it’s starting to get very frustrating, but whenever I attempt to save my work, Adobe crashes, and likewise, my work is unsaved.

As it is, my work is almost always in .bmp form, and like I said, it won’t save, and sometimes if i’m on the internet at the same time, Adobe will freeze the whole computer, and therefore it also destroys everything i’ve done to what i’m working on.

I’m not sure if this will help, but this last incident i’ve had of Adobe crashing, I got this message:

PHOTOSHOP caused an invalid page fault in
module KERNEL32.DLL at 0177:bff7a128.

If you can help me, i’d be very appreciative!

what operating system? if xp or 2k, a full computer freeze is a hardware failure.

well, you said hard Drive… where this error (if on win2k or xp) might originate in the ram, mobo or cpu, power supply, hard drive or really any componant (via causing a short in the mobo).

of course if it’s win 9x or me, it could just be it’s in need of it’s biannual reinstallation.

Right, I did. The only blue screens I’ve had with win 2k sounded like this one in a lot of ways and when it happened to me it was my hard drive going bad. Of course a bad power supply could damage a MB or other components too. I burnt 2 supplies in the last three years until I found out that the city power fluxuates so much (121 volts, 124 volts up to at least 130 volts) I had to get a ups unit, which is a great thing to have anyway, to condition and control the power.
