I’m new to Photoshop cs and only finding my way around it with the help of some photoshop cs ‘how to’ books.

There is one immediate question members might help me with. When I go to Start – My Pictures, (where my digital camera images are stored, – File – Browse With, the option Dell present me with is Browse with Paint Shop Pro 7 and this is just a thirty day trial version which has long since expired. I’d like to change that default to Browse With Photoshop cs. Can anyone tell me how to do this?

Thanks in advance for this or any additional information you feel might be useful.

As you don’t use paint shop pro then delete it from your computer, then your browser should pick up photoshop.

Failing that, put all your pics in a folder, and keep in My Documents, and you can access them with out problems.

in any file folder, go to tools> folder options> file types

you can set the "jpg" and "jpeg" extensions to use photoshop, along with any others you would like photoshop to be associated with.

Right click on any jpg, select ‘Open with’ (you’ll probably see Photoshop CS in the list, but don’t choose it yet), then ‘Choose program’ select Photoshop CS (if it’s not in the list presented to you, which I doubt, browse to photoshop.exe in Program Files) and check the ‘Always use the selected program to open this kind of file’>click OK
