Photoshop will not let me use some options

photoshop will not let me use some filters like lens flare,also it will not let me use any image adjustments on any pictures,made or opened. does anyone know how to get these back,they are just grayed out.

Go to Image—»Mode… and tell us what mode you’re working with.

Some Filters and Adjustments don’t work unless you’re in RGB & 8 bit/channel.

Many options are only availbe with certain color modes. For the biggest selection use 8 bit RGB.

thats for the help,turns out i was working in grayscale and not RBG
