this is probably dumb, i just have never used photoshop and am bewildered.

received a photoshop-created template for making buttons with. I now want to put an image inside the template, and size it accordingly, I just have no idea how to paste it in.

Where in photoshop/imageready to i have to go?? I’ve looked, but must have missed where it talks about this.

I have gone to "File" then, "Place" and selected my desired image, only it comes up too small, and you can still see the writing on the template that says "your text here" all around the circumfrence. I want that completely wiped out and the whole button to be the image.

Please please help!

They should have told you how to place a picture. It is easy but we have to know how the template was designed. Open the template, go to the layers palette and see how many layers. Also go to the Channels Palette and see if there is a 4th channel (looks like black and white.) Or just go to Select and see if Load Selection is grayed out or not.

You must also read in Image-Image Size the resolution of the button and make the picture the same resolution.

Give all these data and you will get plenty of help.

The other way: email me the template and I will look at it. I do not need nor will I ever use it. As a matter of fact I would make my own ones very fast and easy and even automate the whole insertion process with an action.

Do not use Place just drag the picture over the button and see what it does. Hard to say without knowing how the template was designed. Or give the website you bought it from.
