Due to speed considerations I allowed my camera’s software to be the default file association with JPG files as my PhotoShop 7.0 takes forever to load on this WinME, 600mhz laptop. This allowed me to spedily pick-n-choose photos to work on later in PS7. Today, however, I decided to set PhotoShop 7 to be the default file association. Now I have lost all Windows Explorer JPG thumbnails.

In Explorer on my XP box when I encountered a similar problem I just right clicked the JPG file, and turned "generate thumbnails" off and the s*l*o*w thumbnail generation reverted to almost instantaneous generation.

But on the WinME laptop, thumbnails no longer generate even if I re-associate JPGs to the previous application, the choice to turn off PS generation is NOT there in WinME, and only PSD graphic files show as thumbnails. Any fixes?
