FINAL REPLY:
My first time on this forum I asked a question: Can’t Photoshop create Jpegs that can be viewed on my TV? Here are some of the "helpful" replies I received:
If you are too stupid to read the description or contents of software
before buying it then no one will feel sorry for your stupidity. And I am being gentle with you today because it is Thanksgiving and I’m in a kindly mood. –Frank Arthur
Hey numbnuts why shouldnt you have to seek another product ?!–Dr. Hackenbush
Ever hear of DVD burning software like Easy Creator. Duh! –Frank Arthur
Well, I can send instant messages to people using MSN, so why can’t I do it with Photoshop too?
I can boil water in my kettle, so why can’t I do it with photoshop too?
I can drive to Liverpool in my car, so why can’t I drive to Liverpool in
Photoshop?
I can wear a coat to keep me warm, so why can’t I wear photoshop to keep me warm? –Fat Sam
PS Remember to turn the TV and DVD Player on. –Roy G
You might also want to remind this guy that he needs to point his face towards the TV and keep his eyes open, otherwise he won’t see the pictures.
He’d probably still try to claim that was all Photoshop’s fault. –Fat Sam
I wouldn’t be at all surprised to learn that he doesn’t have a CD burner, and blames that on Photoshop too. –Fat Sam
Well. Thanks for all your kind help. I’m a retired teacher and spent my career trying to share my knowledge to help others learn. Unfortunately, that spirit is not shared by all members in this forum. Some are here only to bully and belittle others. My advice is to them: Grow up.
Oh, by the way, I found the answer to my question (on my own). Here it is:
After editing photographs in Photoshop, you simply "Save for Web & Devices…" and select "JPEG" in the Dialog box, then click "Save". Burn the Jpegs to a DVD and play them on your DVD player. Sit back and enjoy viewing a siideshow on your TV, using all the functions of your remote–Pause, Forward/Backwaard, Zoom, etc.
There is no need to use any other software, or hook up a laptop to the TV.
