Hi,

I created an rgb image. I drawn a line 4 px wide, then I Selected Color Range.
When I tried to delete to the transparency grid, I found that there was a gray background underneath even if it was a one layer image.

Thanks for your attention.

I don’t think I can follow what you have done at your end, and I can’t figure out what the magical grey background layer could get there without someone put it there (or telling Photoshop to put it htere).

Lets see I I can be able to figure out.

1. You create an rgb image

2. You draw 1 line 4px wide

3. Then you select Color Range .. dunno what you do with this one

4. When you delete the transparency grid .. I have no idea where you get this part.

5. Then you found a grey background under the transparency grid …. I just can’t get it because I thought you should be able to see through the transparency … and have no idea why there is an extra layer (?) you didn’t create.

BTW, can you just delete the layer?

And by following your steps above I can’t see any command that can create any extra layer. Yes, there are some does create newer layer but none of the above does.

Thanks for your attention.

You are quite welcome, but it would be nice if I can get the headache to go away <bg>
