This is a stupid question!

I have always used PSP and converting something like a signature which had been scanned in colour into 1 bit B&W was easy.

In Photoshop 8, I can see how to convert colour into greyscale, but how do I save it as a black and white tiff please?

Does it have Image>Mode>Bitmap after converting it to greyscale?

I might be misunderstanding your question, but you can try image>mode>indexed color and enter 3 for number of colors.

Isn’t *Bitmap* what he’s looking for?
