Adobe bought Syntrillium a nice little company with a good product and a heart. They made Cool Edit, the most popular sound editing program around. Adobe dropped the free
programs that Syntrillium contributed to the benefit of mankind, like windchimes, boosted the price and renamed the product to ‘Audition’ or something like that. Adobe is smaller version of Microsoft. It’s not their fault, but ours for allowing this kind of stuff to happen…

And as soon as they did another "better" freeware app appeared. As they always do.
