Hi:

I have a rectangular selection and I’d like to round the corners similar to a filet with a CAD program… I can use the lasso tool to round them by hand but how can I round them to a specific radius or at least ensure that all 4 corners are rounded identically?

Thanks,

David

Hi David,

Use the Rounded Rectangle Shape Tool with the options set to Paths. Choose a radius and then draw your rounded rectangle shape. Now in the paths pallet, choose Make Selection from the Paths Pallet Menu.

Hope this helps.

You can use a path, as George already explained, but Photoshop also has an option for doing that to the selection: Choose menu ‘Select – Modify – Smooth’.
