Just downloaded trial vers of Pscs3 from adobe. Any attempt to open folder locks machine. Have to close machine to get out. Any ideas??? Thanks

Does the same happen from the command line? If so you may have a corrupted or bad sector on your hard drive. There are tools that may be able to fix that. Try googling for it.
