I’ve just downloaded and installed Microsoft’s Color Control Panel Applet on my Windows XP desktop computer. All seems to be well. I’d like to have the same capability on my Windows Vista laptop that has a much more powerful processor and much more memory than the desktop. Does anyone know if the Color Control Panel Applet is compatible with Vista? I don’t want to risk installing the version I have on the Vista computer and subsequently find it causes problems. If the version I have is not compatible with Vista, is a compatible version available or likely to become available?

Thanks, in advance, for responses to these questions.

The color control applet does nothing new in XP. In fact I have no clue how it is useful in any way shape or form. Your video driver, ATI or Nvidia, allows you to assign a profile to your monitor.
Vista, may all copies of it disappear forever from the universe, also has the same capabilities as XP, just a different looking interface. In Vista it looks more complicated because Microsoft intended but never implemented a new form of color management and left remnants of this in the control. Microsoft intended to implement a usable OS in Vista but screwed the pooch on that one, too.
