I need to merge two greyscale images into one with dimentions of 7×9. I have sized both images 7 x 4.5 and can’t figure out how to get them into one image.

Have both images open. Resize the canvas on one to make room for the other; be sure you move the image to the edge of the new canvas–that option is in the resize dialog box. Now move to the other image, select all. Make the Move tool active and move the selected image into the blank space on the canvas.

Scott, just create a new window by hitting command-n. with that open, enter your 7×9 size and the appropriate resolution of your orig images.then simply use the move tool to drag those 2 photos over to the new document.flatten the two photos and your all set. also look for the greyscale mode setting when you create your new window.

Thanks Donald. That did the trick. As a new user, there are so many things I want to do, just need the help to get them done.

Thanks again!
