hi everyone…i wanted to know how i can fade text. know how to use opacity/fill, etc…but:

have this text "_blow out the window" and i want it to be faded on the left and start coming in stronger as it goes to the right…ya know?

how would i do that?

use a layer mask and the gradient fill tool on the text layer.

um….i’m trying it right now…but i can’t seem to get it. ya think it’d be too much trouble if u can send me a PSD file with that effect done on it?

just any sentence…"blow out the window" would be cool.

if u can’t…it’ll all good, but i really wanted to know how to do this.

Go to Layer -> Layer Style -> Gradient Overlay.
