Hi-
I’m new to Photoshop, and I’m really itching to do an Andy Warhol type project (i.e.. something like the Campbell’s Soup Cans or Marilyn Monroe prints). The kind where you have the same picture many times on a piece of paper but each a different style/ colors. It seems to me that Photoshop must be able to do such a simple thing, but I can’t figure out how to get many of the same picture on at once. Am I making sense? I guess what I’m looking for is to have a background "page" where I can see where the picture is positioned on the paper, and manipulate it, move it, and cut and paste more pictures onto the paper. Can someone point me in the right direction? I’m usually good at figuring these kinds of programs out 🙁 Thanks

Hi Judy

First start with File>New and choose your page size (in the UK it’s A4, 210mm x 297mm) then start by copying your existing picture and then paste it onto your page(ctrl+v) you can do this again and again etc. You can then move each layer about to suite yourself, the only problem is that you need to be in that layer to be able to move it, this is fine with PS7 because you only have to right click on your mouse when youre over a particular layer and it tells you which layer youre on. Have fun Photoshop is worth it.

Try this:
Keep the background image visible on its own layer.
Copy the layer.
Type the text and bevel and emboss as you prefer.
Place the text layer under the copied background.
With copied layer active Ctl G to make clipping mask.
Wallah.
Play around and good luck!
