If any of you can answer this question, I would be most appreciative. A couple of weeks ago, we purchased Acrobat Professional 7.0 and installed it and right around that time I lost the ability to open pdfs in Photoshop (new pdfs, old pdfs, any pdfs with fonts). All the fonts are coming in as dots in Photoshop and in Illustrator they are coming in as black lines. We have the exact same setup on another machine and I don’t have an issue there. I can place a pdf in InDesign, open it in Acrobat, and it prints fine. I need to be able to rasterize them to make them artwork (TIFS) for another publication. We have tried reinstalling Photoshop, Acrobat, & Press Ready (printer driver). No change

I have no idea if installing Acrobat had anything to do with this issue. I am assuming it has something to do with Photoshop and Illustrator not being able to access the fonts or something or perhaps a global postscript error?? Can anyone even tell me more about how Illustrator and Photoshop interprets the pdf data???

Thank you so much!
