Im a corel user but switched over to adobe cause they support wacom tablets better, heres the problem:

In corel you hold shift and right drag your mouse to get the size of your brush diameter as you paint, but in adobe the best option is to right click and select a size, this is slow in workflow for me and keeps having me go back to using corel as its faster to work with. But Im desparate to give corel up and start getting more used to adobe products "cause its only a matter of time before they buy out every other software company!(macromedia etc..)"

Can it be done and I cant find it?

Or is this a must for the new version?

Nice1 – but not close enough to corels fine interface, its interactive with the roll of a mouse, but that sure does help me!

nope. can’t do it like that in PS. but it’s been a feature request in the past. as a new version just came out, might be a good time to request it again. write it up and post it in the feature request forum so the engineers can see it…

I suppose it is sort of a trade-off. You like that in Corel you can right mouse click and change the size that way. In Photoshop I like that I can right mouse click and get instant access to size AND hardness as well as near instant access to all other preset brushes I have loaded (as well as a slew of other things).

That puts us at sort of an impasse because obviously, there would be a problem with assinging both forms of functionality to the right mouse button.

It may take a step more but this way provides a greater level of control on the fly which of course doesnΒ’t help you if you donΒ’t need or use it but I think that a lot of people who are used to doing it the Photoshop way would sort of view that as a step backwards unless the other controls could be implimented into it somehow as well… I don’t know, maybe with a twister style set of keyboard shortcuts while you right click?

Also, the "<" ">" keys will cycle through your brush list so of you already have predefined sizes you are looking for, you can cycle through them up and down that way, too.

No mate, I like all that: but corel allowed the right mouse interaction when you held in alt at the same time as right click, drag.

So you would still kepp the much loved right click that is there πŸ™‚
