Hi Folks,

I am a newbie with Photoshop (CS), so please be kind.

I have created an action set…..And want to share it with another user who has Version 7.

I was going to just email it to him and let him see if it would show up or not. But, first of all, I don’t even know if Version 7 has action sets or not (I am pretty sure it does though) and secondly, I can’t seem to locate the file.

I have looked in the "Photoshop Actions" folder, but my newly created action set isn’t there!?!

Can anyone point me in the right direction to locate where this elusive action set has gone?

Thanking you all in advance for your help and guidance.

Bill, I think the path in Windows Explorer would be something like this:

C/program files/Adobe/Photoshop/Actions

It should be in the Actions folder, listed with whatever name you gave it. The suffix would be .atn

HI,

Well, that’s what I thought………But, the action set is not in the folder.

The file path I am looking in is: C:/Program Files/Adobe/Photoshop CS/Presets/Photoshop Actions.

This where all the other actions appear. There are quite a few that I have downloaded from one of the forums and saved to this folder. They all show up in the Actions pallete…………

Geez, the more I say about it, the more confused I get<G>

I looked at the help section about saving the Action set, but (forgive my ignorance)

To save a set of actions:

1. Select a set.
2. Choose Save Actions from the Actions palette menu.
3. Type a name for the set, choose a location, and click Save.

I can’t figure out where any of this stuff is…..Where do I find the Actions palette menu?

TIA
