In PS CS I used the file browser to open photos that were processed in Nikon Capture. This worked very well because I could process the photos in PS CS and then print through PS CS.
In PS CS2 the browser is now Adobe bridge. When I open a photo that was processed in Nikon Capture the program Nikon Capture opens again to process the picture. I want to open it in PS CS2 and can’t figure out how to do this simple task. Any suggestions?
I process many photos in Nikon Capture often batch processing before opening and final processing in PhotoShop.
I really did like the file browser because the last opened photo was highlighted and it was easy for me to know where I was in my routine.
Thanks for any ideas and assistance.

Try right clicking on one of the files and choose "Open with…" The choose PS from the list given and make sure the Always open with check box is checked.
It may work.

First, please post Bridge issues to the Bridge forum.

But you should probably change the file association in Bridge to launch Photoshop.

No it is the NEF plugin that is getting in the way. Go to the adobe photoshop folder and move the NEF file to the desktop. I think it is located in the C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop CS2\Plug-Ins\File Formats folder. If not just do a search for *nef*.* in the photoshop folder. Like I said MOVE the file but do not delete it, in case you do want to use it in the future. Start photoshop then and then use the Bridge and you can edit the pictures in photoshop. I have a Nikon D100 and that is how I do it.
