Hello,
I have a printing dilemna and I am wondering if those knowledgeable in printing or graphics can shed some light.

I have created a Duotone image of a honey comb in Photoshop. It is comprised of pantone 109 and 2935 (warm yellow and blue).

I saved it as a EPS and "placed" it into a illustrator layout document. The whole layout document are the same pantone spot colours of 109 and 2935.

Will the Duotone information of the honey comb be preserved in illustrator so that when the file is colour separated and plates are created they will contain the 2 pantone colours used to make the honey comb?

If not, what file format in PS should I save as so it can be imported succesfully in Illustrator.

Great thanks, ALex

I always print this way, but I use Corel Draw.
In Prins Options I select SEPARATE COLORS
and the program separate the 2 Tones.

Then.. print it
