Activation Scheme Questionable Experience

Illustrator – Installed and activated: 30 day use option and no problem

Indesign – Installed: must activate immediately, activation OK

Photoshop – Installed: must activate immediately, activation server down, activated via phone. Registered complaint with Adobe who said "maybe something was changed."

I thought you were supposed to have a 30 day activation grace period to cover emergencies?

Can I assume from this that you bought the point products instead of the suite?

It is odd. You might want to call Adobe. Installation issues are free.

If you do call, please let us know what they say.

Just spoke with the Adobe rep and he said that there have been a number of issues with product numbers and activation. Apps not wanting to install due to serial numbers not working, inability to activate, etc. “ basically every issue that could happen has come up at least once.” When I asked about possible fixes that have been suggested he said that what he heard was being planned was possible reissuing of serial numbers.

As for what happened in my case, he didn’t have an answer.

You could tell he was trying to be as helpful as he could be, and for me, things are working fine so I’m not going to loose any sleep over it.

Will be installing at my office next week. If I have problems there, I’ll deal with it then. It sounds like they are trying.
