Just confirm. Adjustment layers need be top to work. If you get like four or five duplicate bg layers going, and a composite etc, it can get pretty hairy. Always like to see how people organize it all.

Adjustment layers affect all layers underneath them unless they are part of a clipping group.

To organize layers, name them and use layer sets

thanks Rene:
good info. I getting a grip on it. but when you got variables like which layer is active, which eyeballs are on, which are adjustments, or composted, it gets pretty crazy, and I’m just talking about 4-5 layers.

Use layer sets (Pre-CS2) or Layer Groups (CS2) to organize your layers.

Scottie, when you drive, you must look at: the other cars in front of you, the ones in front of them, behind you, on either side.

The marks on the grounds, the signs on the side of the street. Your gaz meter. Your speed, the noise of the engine, the horns of other cars, incoming streets, traffic info etc.

Photoshop is a very powerful program, with a lot of controls. complexity is the backside of the coin for a powerful program.
