[CS3] Selecting pixels directly from the histogram?

Is it possible in CS3 to direclt select the pixels in yr image from the histogram. Like I would drag with my mouse over the lower 1/3 of the histogram and all dark pixels are selected.

I don’t know as you can do that from the histogram but you can select a range of pixels with the Magic Wand and then use the Select>Select Similar menu choice to select any other pixels in the same range. You might have to play with the tolerance slider when using the Magic Wand to get only the desired range. That help?
