No images visible running a batch in Photoshop CS2

When I start for example the "Contact Sheet II" procedure, I see no images flashing by as I used to in Photoshop CS. In fact: in all of the batches I use I see the empty checkered background only, although the image boundaries are showing and the batch does what it is supposed to.
What do I do wrong?

Nothing’s wrong – the default for actions playing back in CS2 is accelerated (don’t draw, just go fast) mode.

This is by design. It speeds up batching.

Have you experienced any problems with your CS actions running within CS2? First off I’ve had to add a close command at the end of each action. Secondly, actions that run perfectly in CS now seem to place the layers in a different sequence when running under CS2? Any thoughts on this?

1. The actions I have used so far were of the very simple kind, like resamplling an image, or converting TIFF to JPG. I experienced no problems with these.
2. I have some more complicated action from the web, but I haven’t tried these up till now.
