Photoshop is scaling my image

Whenever I put a certain image in photoshop it scales it automatically and totaly screws it up…How can I get it to not do this?

Please explain what youmean by ‘put a certain image in Photoshop’? How to you put it in? Are you opening it with Photoshop, or placing it in an open file? If placing, how are you doing this? What image type is this? A little more info will help us help you!
