Photoshop and others should save whatever the image is. The only chance you may see the difference is the monitor calibration is off.

you need to use save for web
or change the profiles to SRGB first before making into jpg

non color managed programs like browsers can only see srgb it makes a mess of Adobe RGB too

jpeg’s= jpg’s

i’m using an eizo cg210 calibrated weekly and the prints from my epson 3800, using icc’s from the paper companies look just like the screen (printing from the usually 300+meg layered tif’s)

its just when i save these files as jpg’s that they turn blue … 🙁 …

and they didn’t when i was using adobe rgb space …

Patient: Doctor, it hurts when I do this.
Doctor: Then don’t do that.

ProPhoto RGB is really a 16 bit color space. Jpg is only capable of 8 bits. Convert your images to a more standard color space, such as sRGB or Adobe RGB before saving as jpeg. As a matter of fact, I would recommend not using ProPhoto RGB at all.

For now, the mystery of the blue tint will probably have to wait until you can put a copy of the image up somewhere. I suspect it has to do with calibrating your monitor to a non-native white point, but that’s just a guess without seeing the image.

OK, …
"jpg’s" … WHAT?

RGB, sRGB, RGsB or ???

Which program/viewer makes the change?

Calibration -=within=- PS, external calibration ???

You can have PS ‘calibrated’ but when you return to MS, the calibration goes away. If you use Adobe Gamma in the boot, then they system should stay uniform.

Unfortunatel MickeyStuff’s "spillchucker’ thinks all plurals should be possessive. as many think a ‘compuer’ is infallible, it’s becoming a confirmed misuse. Ditto it’s => it is, not its [something] – the ‘exception to the rule!
