How can I lock a particular axis when using a clone stamp tool?

Hello.
When I select the source position for cloning of an image, is it possible to do it so that the source Y-axis stays locked and only the X-position will change? Or vice versa.

It’s not the best way to do, but you can always SELECT a specific location (whatever shape/size you want) then it will only clone the area inside the selection.

Hold SHIFT, that limits the drag to 0, 45 or 90 movement. Once started you can’t change the angle if you drift off a bit.

It’s all covered by pressing F1 under "Clone Tool"
