Whenever I start CS2, I get the following error dialog:

"This application has failed to start because AXEParser.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem"

I had difficulties installing the application due to a previous version authentication problem I had with the CS2 Suite Premium installation CD’s but Adobe gave me an unlock that worked. However, Acrobat Pro did not install on the first try. The installer only removed Acrobat CS Pro from my system and I had to install it afterwords. This error appears to be related to Acrobat in some manner.

Can anyone tell me what is causing the error? Do I need to reinstall PSCS2 to fix it?

Mike,

Please see my response in this thread:

You’re getting a different error, but I think it’s for the same reason.

Yes, reinstalling CS2 should fix it, as long as you don’t try to use CS plug-ins.

Interesting. I was using an additional plug-ins folder and assumed that it had something to do with this. So I turned off the additional plug-in folder and I’m still getting the message. I’ve also got it on two machines, one with CS suite, and one with PSCS2 upgrade. I’ll try re-installing.
