CS4 download ?

The Adobe web site has a sign up list for notification when the trial version will be available. It is not yet available as I have signed up and have received no notice.

According to the Adobe site, trial version should be available mid-November.

I have the program. I don’t usually upgrade stuff this fast but I was curious about a few things I do now that are supposedly better/faster/easier in 4 than in 3. Not true I’ve found but that’s another thing altogether… NO REFUNDS on upgrades.

I suspect from my experience with it, Adobe are probably concerned people will realize it is little more than a cosmetic alteration needing a fair amount of re-learning for routine functions and choose to stay with CS3 if they let you play with it before buying.

I really recommend you ask yourself what it is with CS3 you cannot do in a timely and accurate manner that you think CS4 will cure. When I did this post upgrade, I probably shouldn’t have upgraded. I’m a photographer incidentally. Maybe artists might find it more useful but then I’m told there is better stuff around for artists anyway.

My vote as a user of PS since version 3.0 is 4 out of 10 for this CS4 version. It has ‘issues’ Adobe have no answers for. Something I find quite distressing when I’ve always thought their support was pretty good.
