Under Win XP SP2. Photoshop CS2 freezes during initial loading (trying to build Twain menu items) when a Logitech QuickCam Zoom is plugged into a USB port. PS initializes properly when the camera is not plugged-in during initialization. I have the latest version of the Logitech driver (8.4.1.1092). The same problem occured under CS1 but not under PS 7.

I am willing to edit the registry if there is a way to tell Photoshop to ignore the webcam.

Sounds like the webcam installs a TWAIN or WIA driver that has a few bugs in it.

You need to update or remove the bad driver.
