I’m having major problems with PS CS. (Cf. my ‘Photoshop CS Causes Win Registry Problems’.

I was shocked to find out that, even though I’m a registered user of CS, that I would have to pay $159US _per year_ in order to be able to post an on-line message to the Adobe support staff that would be answered.

I have Windows programs that cost $20 that give free and prompt on-line support, and others that cost $20-$30 per year.

Yes, these programs are less complicated than PS. But they also cost much less.

I realize that in the world of graphics publishing houses, professional photographers, etc. the purchase price of PS and the support costs are acceptable, even trivial.

But what of us that are serious digital photographers that want the best in imaging editing software – i.e., Photoshop. Is Adobe’s answer "If you’re not a pro, use Elements"?

MacBook Pro 16” Mockups 🔥

– in 4 materials (clay versions included)

– 12 scenes

– 48 MacBook Pro 16″ mockups

– 6000 x 4500 px

Your message posted here will often get free Adobe engineer and support staff help. Several Adobe staffers are regular posters here.

The reason Adobe help costs is that when it is free, about 90% of the problems are user training issues, and Adobe got tired of paying to train its customers.

In fact, the majority of questions posted here are training issues (how do you do such and such). The difference is that Adobe does not pay us to give this kind of help.

Uh huh. . .so, what’s your problem? Or do you just want to rant? While you certainly seem upset, venting in a user to user forum will do you zero good. You may as well post what problems you are having with CS. . .
