The Brush quit working so I did a reset Prefs (to a saved file from an earlier pref setting) and now, the Brush is back but the cursor is behaving erratically. When I move from the image to the workspace, no arrow appears until I left click. When I move back to the image, either the circle appears with the arrow overlaid or I get nothing until I click there, which means I will have inadvertently applied whatever setting I have the Brush set to, applied.

Any ideas?
PSCS on W2K.

Cursor behaves perfectly in other programs I have tried so far. The mouse calibration works fine.

Hmmm, belay this request for the moment. PS is now acting normal.

Don’t ask why. All I did was to go have breakfast!

belay this request for the moment

We ‘ll be the judge of that. 🙂

Seriously, I had that too a while ago. and it dissapeared with rebooting the pc. (PSCS, Win 2k SP4).

I don’t think it has anything to do with restoring a previous prefs file Which I do sometimes also.

And John is right! Breakfast does it.

Scrambled Eggs!

I did say belay for the moment right? It came back (Oh, the cat came back, he couldn’t stay away….). It shows up at 16 bit scans, and is usually associated with having the Browser open and an image on screen. Now, It’s just there. No open browser.

So, the question is, what settings changed when I reset prefs? I have a pref file which I use for restore (which I have to update soon) and I can’t for the life of me see what’s different. Of course the old one is history, since I replaced it.

Maybe after dinner….
