I’m working on an overlay for a pinball machine. The original silkscreened artwork has been worn by time and by a steel ball rolling over it millions of times.
I have scanned in the playfield in sections and have stitched the sections together usign Panavue Image Assembler.
I have separated the colors the best I could into layers. Some of the lower layers are big blocks without much detail. The higher layers are very detailed and complicated.
I would like to work on some of the higher layers using Illustrator in order to get crisp lines in the text and nice curves on the circles.
How do I separate that layer and export it to Illustrator, and then bring it back in without everything getting misaligned and messed up?
