In ImageReady I’ve been successful at slicing and creating rollovers using layers, but I have a problem I haven’t seen addressed in the newsgroups.
In addition to specifying which layers are visible during the rollover of each area, I need to also specify which layers overlap others. I’ve tried simply adjusting the sequence of layers in the Layers palette for each of the rollovers at the same time as I turn their layers on and off, and in the browser the on/off behavior is fine, but the layer overlaps don’t change when a new area is rolled over; they’re just whatever the last sequence was that I specified in the Layers palette.
Is it possible to make layer overlaps specific to rollover areas, or is only layer visibility specifiable?
