Something that I should know having used PS since ver 4 – but what is the general order for resizing a digital picture from say 180 dpi 12×7" to 250 dpi 7×5"?

I have in the past resized 180 dpi direct to 250 dpi _then_ resized directly from 12×7 to 7×5" (no Lancsoz or stair interpolation as I am *decreasing* the size).

Or should I resize first _then_ add pixels???

cheers…pix

Hi ; The way would do it ( not necessarily the right way …) Is to use the crop tool and after putting in the dimensions I would put in 250 ppi and then crop. It crops to the size you want as well as changing the resolution.
